With Jake Locker's constant struggle to stay healthy and Charlie Whitehurst's ineffective play, the Tennessee Titans could be looking at a different option to start at quarterback.
More from Schefter on NFL Live: "It wouldn't be a surprise" if #Titans turned to Zach Mettenberger at QB "pretty soon."

The Titans drafted Mettenberger in the sixth round - despite the fact he tore his ACL at LSU last season - with the hope he could be groomed to be a future starter.
The Titans would probably prefer not to rush him onto the field, but given their continued struggles, and Locker's injuries, they may not have a choice.
