Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell told reporters Wednesday that Percy Harvin never expressed any frustration to him about his role in the Seahawks offense.

Since being traded Harvin has indicated that he felt the Seahawks didn't use his deep ball potential as effectively as they could have.

“I had many converstsations with him about it, just about his role and the things that we would ask him to do, and he never articulated that to me,” Bevell told reporters as relayed by Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times. "... But the thing was, we wanted to make sure he was going to be involved in the game and get the touches, you know that you can just double-team somebody and take them out of the game. He never did (mention that). But we have moved on past that and it’s left in the past.”

Bevell, who also coached Harvin in Minnesota during his first two years in the NFL, expressed his disappointment at the way the situation played out in Seattle.

“I was disappointed, you know? I was disappointed. I did have a history with him and I thought it would be a different outcome, you know? But I guess it’s just the way it went. I think we have a phenomenal atmosphere here. It’s led by coach (Pete) Carroll. I think he gives the guys great freedom to be who they want to be and I think he kind of sets a tone for the whole program. It’s an upbeat program, obviously. We are very positive here. So it’s just disappointing.’’
