Packers hold off Vikings to reclaim 1st place in NFC North

The Green Bay Packers extended their winning streak to three games Sunday afternoon with a 24-21 victory over the Minnesota Vikings. 

With the win, the Packers improve to 8-3 on the season and move into first place in the NFC North. The Vikings, meanwhile, drop to 4-7 and sit last in the division.

Here's what you need to know:

  • Packers right guard T.J. Lang left the game briefly in the first quarter after suffering an apparent ankle injury. He walked off the field gingerly, but was able to return after having his left ankle taped.
  • Vikings wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson left the game in the fourth quarter with knee and ankle injuries, but was able to return.
  • Vikings rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater struggled for most of the afternoon, completing 21-of-37 passes for 210 yards with two touchdowns and an interception.
  • Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers finished the game 19-of-29 for 209 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
  • Ben Tate was held without a carry in his Vikings debut.
  • Packers running back Eddie Lacey rushed for 125 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries, marking his second 100-yard game of the season and first with 20-plus carries.
