Giants' Tom Coughlin wants Odell Beckham Jr. to 'tone it down'

New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has done just about everything right in his short time in the NFL, building surreal stat lines week in and week out.

However, there's at least one thing Giants coach Tom Coughlin isn't happy with.

"He finally got flagged for his celebration," Coughlin said, according to Ebenezer Samuel of the New York Daily News. "That was an issue, because here we are kicking off from the 20-yard line and they got the ball with great field (position).

"I said something to him when it happened. When he was called for it, I said something to him."

Beckham was flagged for taunting an opponent after he spun the ball following a touchdown in Sunday's 37-27 win over the St. Louis Rams.

"I spun the ball in front of me. But it is something that was a penalty," Beckham said. "That's just being young and trying to learn the rules and what you can and can't do. I didn't know that that was a penalty."

Beckham has 79 receptions for 1,120 yards and 11 touchdowns on the season, including at least 90 receiving yards in eight straight games.
