Seattle advanced to its first Super Bowl after posting a 13-3 record in the regular season.
The Seahawks took a 3-0 lead over Pittsburgh, but then surrendered 14 unanswered points, capped off by a 75-yard touchdown run by Steelers running back Willie Parker - the longest rush in Super Bowl history.
Hines Ward, the game's MVP, caught a 43-yard pass from Antwaan Randle El to extend the Steelers' lead to 21-10.

Billed as a matchup between the highest-scoring offense in league history and the NFL's best defense, Super Bowl XLVIII was supposed to be an instant classic.
Then the game started.
Denver's Manny Ramirez snapped the ball over Peyton Manning's head on the first play from the scrimmage, leading to a safety. It was never close from there on out, as Malcolm Smith returned an interception for a 69-yard touchdown to give Seattle a commanding 22-0 lead at halftime.
Percy Harvin scored on a 87-yard kickoff return to start the second half, crushing Denver's comeback hopes. The Seahawks were relentless, cruising to their first Super Bowl victory in franchise history.
