Report: Jim Kelly, Dick Butkus among former players to announce picks at draft
Buffalo Bills fans are in for a treat at the 2015 NFL Draft.
Former Bills quarterback Jim Kelly will be on hand to announce Buffalo's draft selections on May 1, Jeff Dickerson of ESPN reports. It should be an emotional experience, as Kelly's battle with cancer has been well documented.
Kelly has always been a fan favorite in Buffalo, guiding the team to four Super Bowl appearances.
The Chicago Bears will also have a legend on hand. Linebacker Dick Butkus will be announcing a pick as the draft returns to the Windy City for the first time since 1964.
Butkus, a Hall of Famer and Chicago native, played nine seasons with the Bears during the 1960s and '70s. His trademark toughness and intensity set the benchmark for Bears linebackers like Mike Singletary and Brian Urlacher.
Other former greats on hand to make picks will be Charles Haley for the San Francisco 49ers, Darren Woodson for the Dallas Cowboys, Chris Spielman for the Detroit Lions, Ickey Woods for the Cincinnati Bengals, Ty Law for the New England Patriots and Donald Driver for the Green Bay Packers.
