Peyton Manning on Tom Brady: 'He'll always be my friend'
Tom Brady may be suspended after the Wells Report stated that he likely had knowledge of the New England Patriots staff under-inflating footballs before the AFC Championship Game.
Brady's greatest professional adversary, Peyton Manning, didn't have a lot to say about the situation when asked about the Patriots' superstar.
"Like I said, I'll speak it as clearly and slowly as I can. He's my friend, he'll always be my friend," Manning said via ESPN on Friday. "I don't know what happened, I don't have much more than that for you."
Brady defeated Manning 11 of the 16 times they've squared off in their careers, with the two greats set to square off once again when the Denver Broncos host the Patriots in Week 12 of the 2015 season.
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick came to Brady's defense on Twitter on Friday night.
Brady and Manning are the pre-eminent quarterbacks of their generation, and it's nice to see that they've forged a friendship through some of the best games in league history.
