Many people criticized the Indianapolis Colts' decision to select Phillip Dorsett in the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft, but the speedy wide receiver is making a strong impression on Colts players and personnel alike.

Dorsett, a lightning-quick receiver out of Miami, joined a roster that already boasted T.Y. Hilton, Andre Johnson, Donte Moncrief, and tight end duo Dwayne Allen and Coby Fleener.

The Colts' newest acquisition is adjusting well to a professional offense.

"He looks really good," head coach Chuck Pagano said to George Bremer of The Herald Bulletin. "He's really fast. He's got really good hands. He's really smart. He's picked things up. He looks really good."

Initially, the Colts' decision to draft Dorsett didn't appear to make a lot of sense with his skill set mirroring that of Hilton's. Moreover, the Colts' offensive line and defensive line were more pressing needs than adding to a position of strength.

However, Dorsett is winning important votes of confidence throughout the organization.

"It's definitely not too big for him," Colts star quarterback Andrew Luck said. "He fits in very, very well."

Joining a vaunted offense that ought to compete for a Super Bowl berth, Dorsett must continue to impress the Colts' staff in order to gain significant playing time during his rookie campaign.
