Bills' Mario Williams unfazed by coaching changes

Buffalo Bills defensive end Mario Williams is entering his fourth season with the team, and he's already playing for his third different head coach.

Not only that, but he's also playing for his third different defensive coordinator. While constantly changing schemes can be difficult and frustrating for a player, Williams doesn't seem rattled.

"We all understand that part of the game," Williams told Vic Carucci of The Buffalo News recently. "Things change, personnel change, obviously coaches change. We pretty much just take from what we learned from Schwartz and kind of keep it going. I mean, that's the only way you can do it in this league, because it's pretty much a revolving door."

Williams excelled under defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz last season. His 14.5 sacks were a career-high and he developed into a solid run stopper as well.

Now the pass rusher is switching back to a 3-4 with Rex Ryan coming on board, something he should be used to. The Bills ran a 3-4 in 2013 when Mike Pettine was the defensive coordinator.

"Understanding the defense, I love it," Williams said. "It gives everybody ample opportunities to just do different things and just be able to bring different looks, different angles, and attacks, stuff like that. So I'm ecstatic."
