Washington Redskins pass-rusher Junior Galette suffered a torn Achilles at practice Wednesday, according to multiple reports.
Albert Breer of NFL.com reports an MRI confirmed that the Achilles was torn, and Galette is expected to be out for the season.
The Redskins haven't confirmed the injury, but head coach Jay Gruden told reporters he is "very concerned" about Galette's status after practice.
The linebacker reportedly suffered the injury late in practice, going down as he rushed off the edge in an 11-on-11 drill.
Galette signed with the Redskins on a one-year, $745,000 contract in July. He was expected to help shore up the team's pass rush following the departure of Brian Orakpo.
