The Seattle Seahawks have agreed to trade running back Christine Michael to the Dallas Cowboys, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter.

In exchange, the Seahawks will receive a conditional seventh-round draft pick, according to NFL Network's Albert Breer.

Michael, the 62nd overall pick in 2013, never managed to put it all together in Seattle, despite considerable hype (particularly from the fantasy football community).

The Seahawks' signing of Fred Jackson made Michael expendable.

In Dallas, Michael enters perhaps the NFL's most enticing situation. Ample opportunity exists behind the NFL's best offensive line and neither Joseph Randle nor Darren McFadden is a proven commodity.

With some luck, and the consistency that has been missing from his career, it's not out of the question Michael could ascend the Cowboys' depth chart and finish the season as starter.
