Ben Roethlisberger ruled out for Week 6

Ben Roethlisberger's return to the Pittsburgh Steelers' lineup will have to wait at least one more week.

Though Roethlisberger practiced on a limited basis this week, creating optimism he could be nearing a return, the Steelers officially ruled him out Friday afternoon.

Mike Vick will start against the Arizona Cardinals.

Roethlisberger told reporters this week he won't rejoin the lineup until he feels he's capable of moving well enough to protect himself.

''The biggest thing is being able to avoid the pass rush,'' he said. ''I can walk around fine. I can step and throw. But being able to make the subtle moves inside the pocket, and outside the pocket, too, is important. I have to make sure I am able to do that.''

The Steelers travel to play the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 7.
