Lavonte David calls Lovie Smith's firing 'stupid'

In the wake of Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Lovie Smith's abrupt firing on Wednesday, linebacker Lavonte David let his displeasure with the move be known on Twitter.
David, who signed a five-year, $50-million contract extension with the team in August, cites continuity as his main argument with the decision.
David, who has since deleted his tweets, followed up his first tweets with two more, which read:
"Outside looking in, y'all wouldn't understand how great of a coach/person he is" and "I guess yall got what you been asking for smh #bs."
After cooling off, David left everyone with a warm sendoff (which he has not deleted):
