Ravens release safety Will Hill
The Baltimore Ravens released safety Will Hill on Wednesday, the team announced.
Although the reason for his release was not made explicit, Hill is facing potential disciplinary action from the league, according to Jeff Zrebiec of The Baltimore Sun.
With Baltimore envisioning a position change for cornerback Lardarius Webb, parting ways with Hill clears a spot in the starting lineup alongside free-agent acquisition Eric Weddle.
Though Hill had trouble staying on the field over the course of his first three seasons, receiving three suspensions relating to PED and substance abuse violations, he's established himself as a impact player in the secondary.
Hill started in 14 of his 16 regular-season appearances in 2015, racking up 64 tackles, one sack, one interception, and six passes defensed.
