Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Steve Smith Sr. remains unconvinced by former teammate Greg Hardy's claims that he did not strike his ex-girlfriend.

In an excerpt from an interview with ESPN's Adam Schefter, Hardy said he never struck any woman, despite photographic evidence showing numerous bruises to his ex-girlfriend's arm, back, chin, hand, and elbow.

"So I guess she tripped on the carpet or something. My mom is a survivor #DV and I am advocate against #DV," Smith tweeted.

Hardy was suspended for the first four games of the 2015 season due to a violation of the league's personal conduct policy stemming from a May 2014 incident where he allegedly threw his ex-girlfriend on a couch laden with firearms.

Initially suspended for 10 games, Hardy's suspension was reduced to four games after going through arbitration last July.

Smith and Hardy played together on the Carolina Panthers from 2010-13.
