The Seattle Kraken signed captain Jordan Eberle to a two-year contract extension with an average annual value of $5.5 million, the team announced Friday.
Eberle, 35, was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent this summer. He's been with the Kraken since their expansion draft in 2021 and has notched 42 points in 59 games this season.
The Kraken are projected to have over $30 million in cap space this offseason even after signing Eberle, according to PuckPedia.
Seattle holds the second wild-card spot in the Western Conference. The club missed the playoffs the past two seasons.
