Overview:
Vladislav Kamenev is a big, skilled winger who split time between the MHL and KHL, and although he didn't see much ice with the big club in Magnitogorsk, the 17-year-old gained valuable experience playing at the highest level his country has to offer.
Central Scouting is listing his weight as 176 pounds, but he's said to be closer to 203, and at 17, could continue to fill-out his 6-foot-2 frame (which could spell trouble for opposing defensemen). He possesses solid two-way skills, strong skating, good vision, and a hard shot with a quick release.
Kamenev had a strong showing at the 2013-14 Under-18 World Championships despite Russia's failure to medal, posting two goals and seven points in five games.

Scouts are saying
"Big pivot is the most fundamentally sound forward we've seen all year," Kyle Woodlief of USA TODAY Sports/Red Line Report said of Kamenev. "Has size, hands, vision, work ethic, skating ability, and puck skills.
Vlad is very skilled and seems to have the right attitude," NHL Director of European Scouting Goran Stubb said. "He is under [former NHL coach] Mike Keenan in Magnitogorsk."
