Report: Toews and Kane extensions unlikely to happen before holiday weekend

It looks as though Chicago Blackhawks fans will have to wait a little bit longer before they see the cornerstones of their franchise locked up to massive contract extensions.

Kane and Toews, who both become unrestricted free agents following the 2014-15 campaign, are expected to command around $11-12 million per season.
