As the NHL offseason wears on, trade rumors involving Philadelphia Flyers centerman Vincent Lecavalier continue to swirl around any team looking to fill a gaping hole in the middle of its lineup.
After dealing Jason Spezza hours before the opening of free-agency on July 1, the Ottawa Senators are one of the teams aching for some size and skill at center. That said, it doesn't look as though Lecavalier will ply his trade in Canada's captial.
There is no deal close for Vinny Lecavalier and it's highly unlikely one will happen. #Sens

Unfortunately for the Flyers, their refusal to eat more than $1-million per year of Lecavalier's considerable salary will likely be a sticking point in any possible trade involving the former first overall pick.
