VIDEO: Flames' Bennett pulls off slick shootout move at development camp

Sam Bennett is only a couple weeks removed from being named the fourth overall pick at the 2014 NHL Draft, but he proved that his shootout game is in mid season form at Calgary Flames development camp Monday.

The 18-year-old is out to prove he can make the jump to the NHL as early as next season, and while general manager Brad Treliving was impressed with the early overall effort from Bennett and others at camp, he's tapping the brakes on the hype.

"In a week’s time, it will all be forgotten," Treliving told the Calgary Herald. "We’ll wait till training camp - that’ll be a better barometer of where everyone’s at. You get a little flavour for what guys can do in their game."

Fair enough, but until then, we'll keep watching this move because it's all kinds of amazing.
