Red Wings' DeKeyser 'pretty confident' a new contract will be signed before training camp
Defenseman and restricted free agent Danny DeKeyser remains without a new deal from the Detroit Red Wings as training camp approaches, but the 24-year-old remains confident a contract will be signed prior to Sept. 18.
"I think we're going to talk again here soon and hopefully get something finished up," DeKeyser told MLive. "I'm pretty confident."
In 76 career games with Detroit, DeKeyser scored four goals and added 20 assists.
As per Capgeek, the Red Wings have seven defensemen under contract with $5.2 million in available cap space.
Meanwhile, he went for a ride in a jet on Tuesday, because why not?
