Agent on Bertuzzi: 'Todd wants to continue playing'
The Detroit Red Wings won't be bringing back free-agent forward Todd Bertuzzi, but he hopes someone will take a chance on him this season.
"Todd wants to continue playing," Bertuzzi's agent Pat Morris told ESPN. "He’s skating and is in great shape. A lawsuit is no longer an issue. We’ll see what transpires in the coming weeks."
The Bertuzzi and Steve Moore lawsuit has been settled out of court, freeing up Bertuzzi to continue to pursue his hockey career, though his 16 points in 59 games last season aren't so attractive.
His season before was marred by injury, and at 39 years old there's no guarantee a team would take a chance on him.
