Maple Leafs' Bozak, Clarkson day-to-day with undisclosed injuries as camp begins
As the Toronto Maple Leafs gathered on the ice for the start of training camp Friday, two names were noticeably absent. According to James Mirtle of the Globe and Mail, forwards Tyler Bozak and David Clarkson are considered day-to-day with undisclosed injuries.
Both players [played in a limited number of games last season for various reasons. Bozak appeared in only 58 games due to oblique muscle and hamstring injuries, but ranked fourth on the team in scoring with 49 points (20 goals, 30 assists).
Clarkson missed the first 10 games of the season due to suspension, and couldn't quite find his game during his first season in Toronto. He contributed only five goals and six assists.
Bozak and Clarkson, for better or worse, are viewed as key players up front for the Maple Leafs, and the club is certainly hoping to get them on the ice as soon as possible.
