Canucks' Ryan Miller records 2nd straight shutout in 5-0 win over Blue Jackets

After a shaky start to the season, Vancouver Canucks goaltender Ryan Miller has been perfect in consecutive games.

The 34-year-old netminder, who signed a lucrative three-year, $18-million contract with the Canucks as an unrestricted free agent this summer, has stopped 63 consecutive shots on goal going back to Vancouver's 3-1 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday night.

On Friday he stopped 31 shots in Vancouver's 5-0 blowout victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets

Miller has now played 152:05 of hockey since he last allowed a goal against. That's an impressive run of impenetrability, though Miller will have to be flawless for another game-and-a-half if he hopes to top Roberto Luongo's franchise-record shutout streak of 242:36.
