Brodeur makes 20 saves, suffers 4-3 loss in 1st game with Blues

Martin Brodeur failed to inch closer to the 700-win plateau in his first start with the St. Louis Blues.
He allowed four goals on 24 shots and was outplayed by his counterpart Pekka Rinne, suffering a 4-3 loss to the Nashville Predators with first-place implications in the Central Division on the line.
Brodeur looked particularly sharp early, stopping the first 10 shots he faced in a Blues uniform, including this denial on Colin Wilson on a partial break just seconds into the game.
Despite being stuck on 688 wins (and missing out on a reported $20,000 per victory), Brodeur still made advances to his career stat line. He was credited with an assist on Jaden Schwartz's third-period goal, the 46th of his career.
