Pittsburgh Penguins forward Bobby Farnham left Monday's game late in the second period after taking a hit from Florida Panthers winger Sean Bergenheim.
Bergenheim drove his shoulder into Farnham near the boards with 3:13 to go in the second period.
Farnham left immediately for the locker room, then returned in the third period.
He also went into the boards shortly before the hit, which likely compounded the injury.
