Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Steve Mason will undergo an MRI on Wednesday for an undisclosed injury.
The netminder confirmed his plans to Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Mason said whenever an MRI is needed, there is cause for "concern."

Mason left Wednesday's practice early due to soreness, but may have injured himself prior to that.
He told reporters it happened on a save made in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Ottawa Senators, according to Tim Panaccio of CSN Philadelphia.
He stayed in that game and led the Flyers to a shootout victory.
General manager Ron Hextall said the injury is not related to the back spasms he experienced in December.
