Report: World Cup of Hockey to be announced during All-Star break
An announcement regarding the World Cup of Hockey is reportedly coming in the next week or so.
The NHL and its players association will announce the return of the international event during the All-Star break, TSN's Rick Westhead reports.
The final will reportedly be a best-of-three, unlike the conventional single-elimination format typically used in international hockey.
There may be financial reasons for that change, according to Westhead.

The tournament will likely include six national teams and two All-Star squads, as reported in November by Sportsnet's Chris Johnston.
Toronto is considered the favorite to host the tournament. In October, ESPN's Pierre LeBrun reported the NHL expressed interest in having the city host the event.
