The Detroit Red Wings are reportedly set to deploy injured goaltender Jonas Gustavsson on a conditioning loan to their American Hockey League affiliate in Grand Rapids, according to Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press.
He has been out since Nov. 5 after suffering a shoulder injury in a loss to the New York Rangers.
Petr Mrazek, who started the season in Grand Rapids, has seized the Red Wings' crease in the absence of Gustavsson and starter Jimmy Howard, who remains out with a groin injury.
Gustavsson will receive his first start Saturday.
