The Dallas Stars lost a trio of forwards in Friday's win over the Florida Panthers, but they're reportedly interested in bolstering their blue line.
The Stars are interested in acquiring Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Andrej Sekera, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.
"The Dallas Stars traded for one of (head coach) Lindy Ruff's former players this week, Jhonas Enroth," Friedman said during Hockey Night in Canada's Headlines segment on Saturday. "There is believed to be interest in Andrej Sekera from Carolina."
Sekera played for Ruff's Buffalo Sabres for parts of seven seasons.
He had 18 points in 51 games entering Saturday's action. His average ice time of 22:47 is second only to defenseman Justin Faulk for the team lead.
