Ryan Miller: Sprained Knee Confirmed, Out 4-6 Weeks

General manager Jim Benning said Wednesday that Miller's MRI confirmed a sprained knee, which will keep him out for approximately 4-to-6 weeks, TSN 1040 AM reports.

Analysis:

The Canucks were fully bracing for Miller to miss multiple weeks after he suffered the injury in a collision Sunday. The lengthy recovery timetable will threaten Miller's availability to return before the end of the regular season, forcing the team to cast their lot with the goalie combination of Eddie Lack and Jacob Markstrom over the next several games. Those in season-long leagues who haven't already dropped Miller may want to consider doing so given that he only figures to see a handful of starts at best over the remainder of the season.
