Blackhawks' Kane has surgery on broken clavicle, expected to miss 12 weeks
Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane had successful surgery to repair a broken left clavicle Wednesday.
"The procedure went very well and we anticipate a full recovery in approximately 12 weeks," Blackhawks head team physician Dr. Michael Terry said in a statement released by the team.

The 12-week timetable puts Kane on track to return deep in the playoffs, possibly during the Western Conference Final if Chicago is able to make it that far without his help.
Kane, tied with Jakub Voracek and Nicklas Backstrom for the league lead in scoring with 64 points, was hurt Tuesday against the Florida Panthers, after he was cross-checked and fell awkwardly, his left shoulder making primary contact with the boards.
The 26-year-old has been durable throughout his career, but missed 13 games last season, and will wrap up his 2014-15 regular season having played 61 games.
