Douglas Murray was a key defensive addition to the Montreal Canadiens last season, although his offensive numbers weren't dazzling.
The Calgary Flames, who signed the defenseman to a tryout contract March 13, won't see the same results this year.

The Flames hoped the addition of the 240-pound bruiser would add depth to their organization.
Murray, a veteran of 10 NHL seasons, has 64 points in 518 career games.
