Even an ageless wonder can have an expiration date.
Jaromir Jagr, at the ripe young age of 43, confirmed recently with Czech hockey reporter Zdenek Janda of Denik Sport that he would like to play in the NHL for two more years.
The forward was traded to the Florida Panthers in February and enjoyed a career resurgence working alongside up-and-coming stars Jonathan Huberdeau and Aleksander Barkov.
He has one year left on his current contract, which will pay him $3.5 million in 2015-16.
The legend has amassed 1,802 points in 1,550 regular-season games in the NHL and recently added another notch to his belt when he was named MVP of the World Championship for his native Czech Republic.
