Help may be coming to the Chicago Blackhawks' blue line.

Trevor van Riemsdyk will make the trip to Florida for Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Wednesday, head coach Joel Quenneville announced.

Quenneville added that he has yet to decide on who will occupy the fifth and sixth spots on the defensive depth chart - slots most recently held by Kyle Cumiskey and David Rundblad - leaving the door slightly ajar with regard to the 23-year-old making his playoff debut on the biggest of stages.

Limited this season to 18 NHL games and eight appearances with the AHL's Rockford IceHogs due to knee and wrist injuries, van Riemsdyk has recorded one assist for the Blackhawks in his career.
