NHL releases 2015-16 regular-season schedule
After releasing the regular-season opening dates for all 30 teams Wednesday, the NHL has revealed the full schedule for the 2015-16 campaign.
The season will kick off Oct. 7 at 7 p.m. ET with an Original Six rivalry as the Toronto Maple Leafs host the Montreal Canadiens.
The Stanley Cup-champion Chicago Blackhawks will also make their season debut on Oct. 7 when they host the New York Rangers.
Some other important dates to keep an eye on include Mike Babcock's return dates in Detroit on Oct. 9 and March 13, as well as the potential debut of Connor McDavid as a member of the Edmonton Oilers on Oct. 8 in St. Louis.
A rematch from the Stanley Cup Final between the Blackhawks and Tampa Bay Lightning is scheduled for Oct. 24 with Chicago hosting.
