The Chicago Blackhawks and Edmonton Oilers swapped minor leaguers Monday.
The Blackhawks traded goaltender Anders Nilsson to the Oilers in exchange for forward Liam Coughlin, the Blackhawks announced.
Nilsson was promptly inked to a one-year, one-way contract by the Oilers the team announced.
The signing means the Oilers now have Ben Scrivens, Cam Talbot, and Nilsson all signed to one-year deals heading into next season.
Nilsson spent last season with Kazan Ak-Bars of the KHL where he put up impressive numbers with the club, posting a 20-9-8 record with a .936 save percentage and a 1.71 GAA in 38 games.
Meanwhile, Coughlin had 20 goals and 60 points in 54 games for the Vernon Vipers of the British Columbia Hockey League.
