Flames agree to terms with Josh Jooris on 1-year deal worth reported $975K

The Calgary Flames have agreed to terms with forward Josh Jooris on a one-year contract worth $975,000, CBC Sports' Tim Wharnsby reports.

"I’m completely thrilled to be back in Calgary next year, and to avoid arbitration," Jooris said, according to George Johnson of the Calgary Herald. "I’m looking forward to a year where I have to prove myself again and having the chance to do that again.

"I can’t think of a better place to continue my development."

The 25-year-old scored 12 goals and added 12 assists in 60 games for the Flames in 2014-15.

Joorishad an arbitration hearing scheduled for Tuesday.

Calgary also signed forward Turner Elson to a one-year contract.
