NBC Sports announced the broadcast schedule for the 2015-16 NHL regular season Monday.
With 105 regular-season games scheduled to be aired, the NBC Sport Group is set to air the most games ever between NBCSN and the main NBC network.
Here's a look at which teams will be featured most prominently, beginning with 21 games for the reigning Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks:
Unfortunately, two of the league's more exciting teams - the Dallas Stars and Columbus Blue Jackets - won't get much air time.
Other highlights include:
- Opening night double-header, with Chicago raising another cup banner prior to a game against the New York Rangers, followed by the San Jose Sharks at Los Angeles Kings.
- Winter Classic on Jan. 1 between the Montreal Canadiens and Boston Bruins from Gillette Stadium.
- NHL Stadium Series, featuring the Blackhawks and Minnesota Wild on Sunday, Feb. 21 from TCF Bank Stadium at the University of Minnesota, and the Detroit Red Wings and Colorado Avalanche at Coors Field on Saturday, Feb. 27 in primetime.
- Hockey Day In America on Sunday, Feb. 21, when the Buffalo Sabres host the Pittsburgh Penguins, followed by the aforementioned Stadium Series game between the Wild and Blackhawks. The Rangers host the Red Wings that night.
- Connor McDavid will be seen only once, as his Edmonton Oilers face off against Jack Eichel and the Sabres on March 1.
