Edmonton Oilers captain Andrew Ference always believed he would make the NHL, and he has the evidence to prove it.
The 15-year veteran revealed Thursday that he sent a letter to every NHL general manager after being snubbed by Central Scouting prior to the 1997 draft.

Ference was selected in the eighth round, 208th overall, by the Pittsburgh Penguins. The 36-year-old has also played for the Calgary Flames and the Boston Bruins.
As far as Throwback Thursday posts go, this one from Ference is one of the best.
