PHOTO: Toronto fans urge Blue Jays stars to suit up for Maple Leafs
The Toronto Blue Jays and Maple Leafs are on opposite sides of the competitive spectrum, so some local fans are looking to their red-hot baseball club for some help on the ice.

Fans threw hats on the field to celebrate Encarnacion's home-run hat trick Saturday after the designated hitter cranked three round-trippers and collected nine RBIs.
The Leafs could certainly use the reinforcements after finishing second-last in the Eastern Conference with the fourth-worst record in the NHL last season.
Considering how well the Jays can hit, maybe it's not too far-fetched to think they can shoot. Skating might be another story, but there's not much they can't do these days.
