The St. Louis Blues want an extended look at Robby Fabbri.
Blues general manager Doug Armstrong suggested Sunday that the 19-year-old will likely break camp with the big club on a nine-game tryout basis for management to get a longer look.
"We think he can compete at this level," Armstrong said, according to Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
The 21st overall pick in 2014 tallied two assists in his four preseason starts.
