Red Wings place Dan Cleary on waivers

The Detroit Red Wings have placed veteran forward Dan Cleary on waivers, head coach Jeff Blashill confirmed Wednesday.
Cleary signed a one-year deal with the Red Wings last month.
The 36-year-old tallied one goal and one assist in 17 games with Detroit in 2014-15.
He has played the last 10 seasons with the Red Wings, winning the Stanley Cup in 2008.
