Flyers' Neuvirth blanks Blackhawks, records 2nd straight shutout
Michal Neuvirth is off to a flying start in Philadelphia.
The Flyers' supposed backup goalie, pressed into action while Steve Mason deals with a personal matter, stopped all 30 shots against during Wednesday's win over the Chicago Blackhawks.

The shutout comes on the heels of a perfect 31-save performance against Florida on Monday, making him only the second goalie in franchise history (after Jeff Hackett) to blank the opposition in his first two starts.
The consecutive shutouts, combined with three goals allowed in relief of Mason in an earlier 7-3 loss to the Panthers, leaves his save percentage at .965 to go along with a 2-0-0 record.
It's early days, but Neuvirth is providing great value on the two-year, $3.25-million contract he signed this past offseason.
