Lauri Korpikoski scored less than two minutes into overtime to give the Edmonton Oilers a 2-1 victory over the Vancouver Canucks on Sunday.
Korpikoski took a pass from Andrej Sekera and beat Canucks goaltender Ryan Miller at the 1:46 mark of the 3-on-3 session.
Miller lost to the Oilers for the first time in 13 career games. Edmonton netminder Anders Nilsson stopped 33 of 34 shots.
Vancouver defenseman Matt Bartkowski scored his first NHL goal in his 137th career contest, tying the score at 1-1 late in the first period.
Nail Yakupov opened the scoring for the Oilers, converting his second goal of the season after a tremendous rush and pass by Connor McDavid.
