Andrew Hammond still making history with Senators

Andrew Hammond's record run is spilling into 2015-16.
Backstopping the Ottawa Senators to a 3-1 victory over the Detroit Red Wings on Friday night, Hammond became the first goaltender in NHL history to collect 21 wins in his first 27 outings, according to NHL Public Relations.
He was able to achieve this latest feather in his cap thanks to his incredible run last spring, of course, where he was thrust into the crease with injuries to Craig Anderson and Robin Lehner and led the Senators to an improbable playoff appearance.
Hammond was on the losing end of his only other start this season when he allowed four goals in a shootout loss to the New Jersey Devils.
The 27-year-old is now an astounding 21-1-3 in his young NHL career.
