Red Wings' Zetterberg notches 500th assist, 800th point in win over Sens
It was a milestone-filled night for Detroit Red Wings captain Henrik Zetterberg.
Zetterberg's two assists in a 5-3 victory over the Ottawa Senators helped the 35-year-old capture the 500th assist and 800th point of his career.

Zetterberg's half-centry mark in assists came in the first period, when he set up Tomas Tatar, who sniped a shot past goaltender Craig Anderson. His second accolade came in the second period, when he fired a slap-pass to Gustav Nyqvist who redirected the shot high blocker side.

After hopping out to a 5-1 lead early in the third period, the Red Wings hung on for just their second win in eight games.
As for Zetterberg, he remains just a goal away from 300 in his career.
