Connor McDavid held court for the first time since suffering a broken clavicle less than two weeks ago, and was able to relay positive news as it pertains to his recovery.
The Edmonton Oilers reigning first overall selection, who walked into the arena without a sling, said he feels better than he thought he would at this point in the recovery process, and even shared that he was able to perform some upper-body exercises.
A smooth recovery, at least so far, is obviously tremendous news for McDavid, the Oilers, and the league itself, but he's still likely months away from a return - specifics he chose not to comment on.
"Bones heal," McDavid said. "You just gotta wait for it to feel 100 percent."
He also chose not to comment on the play.
