Vancouver Canucks fans had a scare early in Monday's game against the Los Angeles Kings as captain Henrik Sedin was victim of a dangerous elbow from opposing defenseman Brayden McNabb less than a minute into the game.
And a closer view:
Sedin would remain in the game, and the bad blood remained after the hit too, with a pair of fights and five roughing penalties handed out before the period ended.
It was unclear if the 35-year-old would play at all Monday due to a lower-body issue, but he was apparently able to avoid an upper-body injury as a result of this play.
