In a twist of fate, it was the silver medal-winning diver's boyfriend who took the real plunge.
China's He Zi received a marriage proposal from her boyfriend - and fellow diver Qin Kai - after being presented the prize for her runner-up finish in Saturday's 3m springboard final.
